Focus groups really do suck. I've been in a couple and by the end, we gave shitty advice about the phone/gadget. If you're building mediocre, also-ran products, get a focus group. If you're making something new, get good designers and trust them.

Eli Sanders gives further evidence that making 10,000 regulations to reduce gas consumption with a dash of public shame probably won't work as well as just increasing the gas tax. And gosh, even that hasn't dented the popularity of SUVs. Yes, with $3 gas right now, we need to let the country know that this is not temporary and that the gas tax will gradually increase over the next 10 years to levels on par with Europe.
